TESTIMONIALS

"Dan - Just FYI - we achieved a 100% score on our state licensure review of our combined substance abuse and gambling program. It was an awesome accomplishment for our organization. And certainly some of the credit goes to you for your help in our team building efforts. You have to love it when it all comes together!"

"The employees of Cottingham and Butler were emphatic that the experience with Dan Block and his colleagues at Four Mounds was fun, and more importantly, applicable to their workplace. By experiencing the need for teamwork, finding new and better ways to communicate and breaking through personal limitations, we make our joint mission at work more productive and our work day more enjoyable."

"Dan Block and his staff at the Four Mounds Ropes Course literally changed the way my team communicates. We talk about the team building activities we experienced and remind ourselves about how we need to trust each other to function effectively as a team. Dan did an amazing job challenging us and encouraging us to step outside our comfort zone. It was an experience we will never forget!"

"We represented a school class of 9-12 year olds on a school trip from California. The kids got so much out of the course, they talked about it for days after. Problem solving techniques on the low course combined with fear and excitement on the high ropes made for a phenomenal day. The setting for this course can only be appreciated by being there. I would recommend TeamBuilding Blocks to anyone"

"The activities chosen by the instructors provided opportunities for our staff to build teamwork, strengthen communications, heighten self-esteem, and test self-imposed personal limits. Each individual felt that their experience would translate into positive improvements in our work place."

"The Four Mounds Ropes Course is a professional trainer's treasure! The course is designed to offer personal challenge opportunities in the context of team support. Participants experience the power of team problem solving and team effectiveness. The experienced Four Mounds staff emphasizes safety and personal regard throughout the process. This is a terrific resource to have in Dubuque."

"My team still talks about the events. Since we often work in different locations, it's difficult for us to get together and build some team chemistry. There is only so much bonding you can do over the cell phone or voice mail. Your ropes course and training allowed my team to break some mental roadblocks they had personally and as a team. Along with learning about each other, they had a great time."
David A. Holesinger
District Sales Manager
Grainger Industrial Supply, Iowa East

"As a result of our retreat days, we've witnessed some very positive changes in our work environment. The communication between shifts and departments has improved and there is definitely more energy, creativity, and collaboration brought to our problem-solving efforts. The Ropes Course allowed all our staff members to safely challenge themselves to do things they never dreamed possible, while as a group we learned how we are all capable of being leaders. If fact, it feels like we've unearthed a great sense of camaraderie and understanding within the walls of our facility. Thank you ever so much for making this dynamic Ropes Course available in our community. It is definitely one of Dubuque's best kept secrets!"

"When our group arrived, they were somewhat hesitant at first since they weren't sure what to expect. After the first few exercises, it was obvious they were enjoying the training, by the laughter and shouting within and between the different groups. I heard from several people afterwards that they enjoyed working through the exercises and being forced to look at different ways to solve problems in a cooperative effort. Many exercises started with people thinking 'You want me to lift who?' or 'You want me to do what?' and finished with 'We did it!' or 'That wasn't too tough!' But there was a lot of problem solving, communication and trust taking place in between the comments."
